There are two main ways to tell your customers about your referral campaign: social media postings and email blasts. The second one requires a link only. Simply include the link to your referral campaign into the promo campaign you’re gonna run. You can add “?tkbl_expand=true” to the URL of your referral campaign, based on the campaign appearance:

  1. “Widget”: let’s say your store URL is https://store.com. So the link you include into the promo campaign will be https://store.com?tkbl_expand=true.
  2. “Embedded”: let’s say your store URL is https://store.com. So the link you include in the promo campaign will be https://store.com/pages/share?tkbl_expand=true.

You can check your campaign appearance by navigating to Editor → campaign appearance.

Note: you can also include an optional email parameter so advocates skip signup. Example: https://store.com?tkbl_expand=true&email=ADVOCATE@EMAIL.COM.
